Yes, our club is open to all UC Davis students! There is no fee. It is a very laid back, “come as you wish” type of club. Check out our FB page for more info!

the book has been reprinted over and over in its 200 year history. one of my favorite covers is this one from Waterstone’s

but this top ten list has a few more that i really love.

Hello, everyone!

As a fundraiser, we will soon be selling English Club t-shirts! We wanted to know what you want to be wearing. So, if you have any brilliant ideas or want to make a shirt (using customink.com or uberprints.com), please send it to englishclubucdavis@gmail.com before our next meeting on Feb. 2 (which will be from 3-4PM in Olson 158!) At our next meeting, we will vote on which design we like best, and pre-orders will start shortly after that.

The shirt needs to include these phrases: “English Club @ UCD” or “English Club @ UC Davis” and “2010-2011”

Here is the epic (mock-epic?) that is the creating writing exercise written for English Club, by English Club, at our first meeting today!

And then the squirrel exploded…

causing a great earthquake

and the cookies to bake.

When it rains

the frogs come out to play.

In the middle of May

And that was the end of that.

So, I went and adopted a kitty cat

which I drowned in my cat-drowning well.

It liked my shirt, though.

I hated him.

English Club will be hosting a fundraiser from 4-9pm today at Yoloberry. A percentage of the proceed will go towards our club fund, which will enable us to coordinate cool events for you all to attend! So, please come out and show us some support! Oh, and don’t forget to mention English Club at the counter when you’re buying some delicious fro-yo.
